About this policy

Poser provides ski video analysis and technique feedback through our website and mobile app. Poser is responsible for the personal data described here. For privacy questions, contact hello@poser.pro. We do not sell your personal data.

Data we collect

  • Account details: your email address, name, sign-in information, and profile details you choose to provide.
  • Ski clips: videos you upload or record, their file information, and any ski date, location or technique goals associated with them. Videos may include other people or information visible in the scene.
  • Analysis results: technique measurements, scores, feedback, thumbnails and replay outputs associated with your clips.
  • Usage and diagnostics: pages and features used, device and app information, IP address and approximate country, and error reports used to operate and troubleshoot Poser.
  • Communications: messages, feedback and attachments you send us.

The mobile app requests camera, photo-library or location access when needed for the feature you choose. You can manage those permissions in your device settings. Only upload clips you have permission to share and process, including permission from other identifiable people where required.

The mobile app records video without sound and does not request microphone access. Before uploading a selected clip, it removes audio tracks from the upload copy, including videos imported from your library. Your library originals and existing local files remain unchanged and may still contain their original audio.

AI video analysis

Before AI analysis, we ask for your permission in the app or upload flow. Signed-in permission applies to future clips until the disclosure materially changes; upload-widget permission applies to the submitted clip. Declining or closing the permission prompt prevents the upload and AI processing.

Submitting a clip for analysis sends it to Poser’s processing services, including third-party AI services. We use Google Cloud, TypeSafe AI and DeepSeek to analyze your skiing and provide technique feedback. Google Cloud receives video content and images from your submitted clips. DeepSeek receives sampled images to identify the skier and interpret the skiing scene, with Google Cloud providing fallback analysis when needed. Videos and images may include people and surroundings visible in your footage.

TypeSafe AI receives derived movement and technique measurements to help produce your feedback. We do not send your video, name or email address to TypeSafe.

Google’s cloud AI terms restrict training on customer data without permission. TypeSafe states that customer inputs and responses are not used to train its models. These commitments do not mean requests are never retained: providers may keep data for service operation, security and abuse prevention under their applicable terms. We do not promise zero retention or EU-only AI processing. See Google Cloud’s AI terms and TypeSafe’s data handling. DeepSeek’s use and retention of submitted data are described in DeepSeek’s privacy policy.

AI observations and technique feedback can be inaccurate or incomplete. They are tools for reviewing your skiing and do not replace professional ski instruction.

How we use your data

We use your data to run your account, analyze the clips you submit, display and save results, send service notifications, answer questions, prevent misuse and improve reliability. We do not use your clips for advertising without your separate permission.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process data to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as securing and maintaining Poser. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it as described below.

Sharing and examples

Service providers process data to support hosting, storage, sign-in, AI analysis, email, diagnostics and support. We may also disclose data when required by law or necessary to protect rights and prevent abuse.

If you submit a clip through a Poser Upload Widget on another website, the widget owner can access that clip, its results and the contact details submitted with it. Public result links can be viewed by people who have the link; only share them with people you intend to see them.

Using your clip as a public Poser example is a separate, optional choice. If you grant that permission, we may use an anonymized example for demonstrations and promotion. You can withdraw that permission by emailing hello@poser.pro.

Crash diagnostics

We collect diagnostics to identify and fix crashes and unexpected errors in the mobile app. Reports include crash stacks, device model and operating system, app version and build, software update identifiers, and, for upload failures, the affected clip identifier. An approximate region may be inferred from the network connection. Reports may include a randomly generated installation identifier. We do not attach your account email, sign-in codes, authentication tokens, precise location, videos, or request bodies to these reports. Mobile session recording and performance tracing are disabled. Diagnostics are processed in the United States to maintain the app's reliability, and are not used for advertising or tracking.

Customer support

If you open an in-app support conversation, Featurebase receives your account ID, email, name when provided, current app page and app version to help us identify and answer your question. It also receives your messages and any attachments you choose to send. Poser does not automatically attach ski videos to support conversations. You can also email us directly at hello@poser.pro.

Storage and retention

We keep account information, uploaded clips and associated results to provide your account and results history until they are deleted or no longer needed for those purposes. Support messages and operational records are kept as needed to handle requests, maintain security and meet legal obligations. We do not apply a single fixed retention period to every type of data.

Poser and its providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. AI processing is not limited to the EU. Where required, international transfers must be covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

We use access controls and secure connections to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can delete clips from your account. For access to your data, correction, or help deleting a clip submitted through an upload widget, email hello@poser.pro. We may need to verify that the request is yours before acting on it.

Withdraw AI analysis consent in the web app under Settings → Account, or in the mobile app under Account → Settings → Revoke AI analysis consent. New analyses require permission again. You can also contact us to withdraw consent where processing is based on it, or to request deletion of stored clips and results. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed. Provider-held records are subject to their applicable deletion terms; some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a portable copy of your data, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and a complaint to your local data protection authority. We will respond to requests within the period required by applicable law.

We will email you a confirmation link. Clicking it immediately archives your account, and signs you out. After 7 days your account and associated data will permanently be deleted.

Cookies, storage and analytics

Google Sign-In may set the g_state authentication cookie to manage sign-in prompts and sign-out state. It is not used by Poser for advertising or retargeting.

Poser uses browser storage to remember your sign-in and app preferences. Browser storage is separate from cookies.

If you choose to open the Featurebase support messenger, it may use cookies to maintain your support session and recognize your conversation. The messenger only loads when you open it. Restricted administrative tools also use a necessary session cookie.

We use Umami for cookie-free analytics to understand and improve how our website and mobile apps are used. This includes page and screen views, feature interactions and device/app information. Mobile analytics are linked to your account ID when signed in.

The mobile app may save analytics on your device and send them when connected. Mobile analytics do not include your email address or videos, or use advertising identifiers. We collect error diagnostics to troubleshoot problems. Poser does not use advertising cookies, optional analytics cookies or retargeting pixels.

Changes and contact

We update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will notify you of material changes and request fresh consent. Questions or privacy requests: hello@poser.pro.
